My mother-in-law recently purchased her first home. She had CJR Home Inspectors do her home inspection. They told her that her water pump and tank had a leak that needed to be fixed, and thats it. So she went to closing and become a home owner. Two days later the plumber came out and advised her that not only did the well have a leak, it is also only 8 FOOT DEEP! She only had 4 feet of usable water. How could home inspectors miss such a problem? A new well will cost her up to $10,000. Her new home is surronded by a cow farm. So during the summer when the farmers spread the manure over the fields and it rains the water drains into her well. Who would want to drink that? Keep in mind that CJR Home Inspector said that the water was safe. She is in the process of contacted CJR Home Inspectors, I will keep you up to date!
